Confidentiality

As a general rule, information shared during sessions is kept in confidence unless given written consent to disclose certain information to another.

There are however important exceptions to confidentiality required by law, specifically: plans, ability, and intent to cause serious harm or death to self or others in the very near future, reported abuse, impaired licensed professional, court ordered disclosures, and unpaid bills whereby only necessary information will be released for collections.

Additionally, this office participates in state, federal and local health monitoring directives; data and information related and relevant to contact tracing of communicable infectious diseases (including but not limited to COVID) will be provided upon request by agency in the event of a contact investigation.
